Yugi takes the first move, although Yusei wins the first battle of the duel. However, with a slew of Forbidden Spell Cards, Yugi is able to set up three of his most iconic monsters: “Dark Magician Girl”, “Dark Magician”, “Buster Blader”.

Despite his prowess, Yugi wasn’t undefeated, and several of his duels featured questionable moments. For example, Yugi lost his first battle to Pegasus in a sort of Shadow Game, failing to defeat the villain within the time limit provided due to the limitation of his cards.

Yusei goes up against an opponent who forces him to mill most of his deck into the graveyard. Eventually, Yusei has literally no cards left. There’s no reason for the opponent to do anything other than end their turn and allow Yusei to lose because he can’t draw cards.

Can Jaden beat Yusei?
Jaden would definitely win because he is the only actual good duellist because yugi has atem and yusei has super signer powers, and jaden has nothing(except yubel in series 4 and he barly uses it) and if that stuff was taken away jaden would win easily.

4. Jaden Yuki. Even for a Yu-Gi-Oh anime, GX has a notoriously bad dub, so I highly recommend the subbed version for anyone interested. Either way, Jaden duels more than any other protagonist, racking up over 75 matches with just three losses (four if you count his childhood flashback loss against Osamu).
